Changelog
Monthly product updates for Shared Holiday Homes: calendar, bookings, tasks, and tools for holiday homes used by more than one household.
August 2026
A quieter calendar and public site, property setup in one place, and a way to close an account or home without erasing stay history.
Calendar
Review incoming stays from the home queue or a calendar sidebar without hiding approved bookings. Occupancy uses hatch texture so busy days are obvious, days outside the focused month fade back, and Today stays next to the period arrows. Add notes from a selected day, reserve from a phone, and open stay emails on the matching calendar day.
Look and public site
A quieter palette across the app, refreshed homepage and tour screenshots, a property map that follows light and dark theme, and blog guides that show the real product. Public Terms and Privacy pages sit with the rest of the site.
Setup and house information
Property details, rooms, and photos live on one setup page. Admins edit guides on the same layout members read. Documents use a Drive-style list with tags, bulk reservation import has a guided preview, and check-in and check-out times follow the viewer's clock format.
Closing an account or home
Owners can delete their account or a property they own. Homes and users are closed rather than wiping booking history.
July 2026
Public free tools, SEO guides, and clearer acquisition analytics — more ways to try Shared Holiday Homes before you invite the whole group.
Free tools hub
Cost split, usage rotation, maintenance schedules, cleaning rotas, inventory, guest welcome books, house rules, and emergency sheets — practical planners you can use without signing up.
Guides for holiday homes
New articles on splitting shared vacation home expenses and a 90-day plan for inheriting a vacation home with siblings.
Marketing and measurement
Homepage metadata and SEO wiring, plus a typed PostHog layer so acquisition and activation funnels stay consistent.
June 2026
Reservation emails you can trust, and a calendar that shows availability at a glance.
Email templates
Repo-owned React Email templates with clearer reservation reasons, guest naming, and a redesigned communications admin.

Color-coded availability across calendar views so busy seasons are easier to spot before you book.
